Meet Dr. Jen

My journey began when I completed my Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Pittsburgh in 2006. Pittsburgh equipped me with a solid educational foundation woven with compassion and commitment to lifelong learning. Mastering KinetaCore’s Level 1, 2 & 3 Dry Needling Certifications and International Spine & Pain Institute's Therapeutic Pain Specialist Certification, expanded my education and the treatments available for my patients beyond traditional exercise and manual physical therapy. As a co-instructor, I am also blessed to work with UW Madison Physical Therapy students.

Working for the past 10+ years with people struggling with pain refined my clinical expertise. This expertise was supported with successful completion of the ABPTS Orthopedic Certified Specialist Exam. I have been blessed to pay forward my education and experience presenting at both state and national conferences, and mentoring physical therapy students and residents. Whether working with patients in the Madison area, or volunteering in Uganda and Belize, my patients are always my greatest teachers. Witnessing patients break free from pain fuels my desire to serve my neighbors. Meeting people where they are at in the community opens doors for people to learn how pain works and dispels myths that may limit people from seeking the right treatment at the right time.

It is my sincere hope that True North Physical Therapy not only positively impacts your life and therefore those closest to you, but also lifts up the community we all share and love. To express my gratitude and honor your decision to invest in your own health, 3% of your total payment will be donated to The Beacon.

Come as you are. Bring your story and all you have gone through related to your pain. I will meet you where you are at and celebrate the start of your journey to greater health. You choose the destination; I provide the road map and the tools to get there. There are no expectations, time frame, or “number of PT visits allowed.” You are in charge. It is your journey, so you set the pace. I walk alongside you and carry the knowledge and treatments needed to both prepare and sustain you on your journey. I believe taking care of ourselves is one of the greatest gifts we can give not only to ourselves, but those closest to us. Spending time outside and active with family, friends, and my Labrador, Deacon, energizes and restores me. It is an exciting time to be a physical therapist and I would be grateful to hear your story and be a part of your journey to better health.

With gratitude,
Dr. Jen
